So It Begins

Today was a big day. It was the first day of welcome week, which involved about 8924745874 hours of me sitting in a chair and Sciences Po talking. But I did several things that are the cornerstone of French living, at least stereotypically.

a) My last 4 meals have all been baguettes. This is not an exaggeration. I got a 2-pack (hit em up) last night, ate one for dinner and ate one for breakfast today. For lunch, 4 euros for a baguette with some form of paste which I didn't mean to order. And for dinner, a jambon baguette. It's probably a factor in me getting sick today, but I downed a liter of OJ to keep my T cells pumped. Calm down, guys, I'll be OK.

b) I purchased my first crepe. I was considering starting a separate spin-off blog cataloguing all the crepes I eat this year, but I realized due to my meager budget, it probably won't make it to the double digits. Nevertheless, it was a glorious crepe.

Here is a view from my daily walk to the metro stop:

And here is when Jon Painter made a surprise visit to the Sciences Po library. WTF French Jon Painter?

So far it's mostly/entirely been settling in. I'll let you guys know the next time I actually DO something.

  1. Sounds like fun, I think I'm most jealous about the crepe (and your view of the tower lol).
